Marathon of Pinch Mayurasana from Sergey Mitropolsky and Lidia Gutorenko
Pincha Mayurosana - Feathered Peacock Pose or Forearm Stand. The Feathered Peacock Pose improves posture and blood circulation (both lymphatic and venous). Asana promotes a surge of energy and helps to overcome fatigue, as well as build confidence and empowerment. Pincha Mayurasana strengthens the core, back, chest, arms, shoulders, hips and buttocks.
Asana promotes the development of such qualities as strength and coordination. The transitions that we will offer will work for active possession of the form, improvement of motor skills, which already implies a strong involvement of the brain in the work (prefrontal, premotor and motor cortex). Inverted poses also improve venous return, but the marathon will be far from unique. As a bonus, the suggested tasks will help improve shoulder and core control for other forms (eg Chaturanga and lower arm balances).
What awaits us: We will discuss in great detail, touching on all the key points of Pinchi, how you can independently build new routes in a pose and how to take into account most of the difficulties of students if you are a teacher.
The marathon is designed for 4 weeks and contains: more than 30+ videos + recording of a 3-hour online seminar.
The marathon is more focused on continuing practitioners. But the tasks of the marathon are adapted for participants of different levels, and we will speak all this directly on the video.
To make the marathon even more interesting and effective, invited experts will take part in it:
Pavel Rodionov (@rodionovruz) will talk about the theory of the work of the upper limb girdle and the cortex in a pinch, will touch on the topic of humeroscapular rhythm and how to effectively develop your shoulder girdle without injury. Because understanding your body helps build learning on a different level, which is useful for both practitioners and educators
Igor Pantyushev (@morly.yoga) will explain and show some of the technically complex, but at the same time important options for mastering pincha and transitions in it.
